FREDLØS (2018)
Fredløs is a Norwegian word meaning «without peace» or «outlaw».
This project is about the lives of children, mothers and fathers
from Afghanistan who have had their application for asylum rejected.
They now await being sent back to Afghanistan againts their will.
These people live their lifes in extreme uncertainty,
with big traumas from war and the flight through Europe.
Some of the children are in Norway without their parents.
Afghanistan is one the most dangerous countries in the
world for civilians, and especially for returned children and families.
Because of the difficult situation the families and children are in,
and their insecurity when returned to Afghanistan, I could not
reveal their names or faces.
These are the hands of people who are «Fredløs» in both meanings of the word.
The project is supported by Save The Children.
